Wideband Photonic-Acoustic Assisted Self-Interference Cancellation for Full-Duplex Transceivers

In this presentation different architectures utilizing acoustic-photonic techniques for suppressing a wideband self-interference in an RF transceiver is presented, where an acousto-photonic tunable tap-delay line is used to process a small fraction of the power amplifier output to generate a signal, that once added to the low-noise amplifier input, significantly suppresses the self-interference. The design and implementation constraints for such systems integrated on the same CMOS-SOI platform will be discussed.
