Test and Measurement in the Changing Spectral Environment
Spectrum allocation will move from being rigid to dynamic and adaptable. As such, microwave systems, circuits, and devices will be reconfigurable. This will require much more extensive laboratory characterization and will also require that characterization move beyond laboratory pre-characterization to on-board transmitter and receiver devices, as well as over-the-air monitoring and measurements. Measurements must provide reconfigurable systems with real-time performance feedback to aid adaptation, allowing them to meet dynamically changing spectral requirements.
