Front-End Architectures for 100Gbps and More at sub-THz Frequencies

This talk will introduce the challenges that should be faced in order to implement energy efficient RF transceivers for large bandwidths (10GHz and more) operating at mm-wave and sub-THz frequencies, as will be required to support 100Gbps and higher wireless data rates. The talk will focus on innovative multi-channel transceivers implemented in CMOS technologies, with specific emphasis on multi-LO frequency generation and on multi-band power combining strategies. Some recent results of multi-Gbps transceivers operating at D-band will be presented.
