Developing S-Parameter Measurement Setups for Characterizing Superconducting Qubit Circuits at mK Temperatures

At the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), UK, we are currently developing high-frequency metrology capabilities to support the characterization of superconducting quantum integrated circuits at millikelvin temperatures. In this talk, we will discuss the development of scattering-parameter measurement setups for the characterization of superconducting quantum bit (qubit) circuits and address challenges and opportunities in applying high-frequency electrical metrology to cryogenic physics-based applications like quantum computing.
